Description
Selective Pallet Racking – Versatile, Accessible, and Cost-Effective
Selective Pallet Racking is the most widely used and cost-effective warehouse storage system available today. Designed for single-deep pallet storage, it offers reduced-density storage while providing 100% direct access to every pallet, ideal for fast-moving inventory and efficient stock management.

Selective Pallet Racking offers exceptional versatility, configurable as single or back-to-back runs to suit diverse storage needs. Its adjustable beams allow easy reconfiguration, relocation, or expansion, making it ideal for evolving requirements. Lower levels can accommodate floor storage for hand-picking, and the system is compatible with a wide range of handling equipment.
A wide range of accessories are available with Selective Pallet Racking including mesh decks, boards with board supports, rack protection etc
Offers first in, first out inventory management (FIFO)
More Options, Same Quality. There are many other variations such as; drive-in racking, double deep, cable racking, vertical racking and carpet racking, all of which are constructed with APEX components.

APEX Beams
Benchmark APEX powder coated orange box and open beams are designed to withstand a higher level of impact and retain their shape better than some other types of beam sections on the market. The below table highlights standard sizes available in which all have varying load capacities. Each warehouse and application are different so please contact the friendly staff at Benchmark for guidance on which pallet racking beams best suits your requirements.

Outdoor Applications
Planning to install racking in an outdoor environment?
Our APEX systems are specifically designed for external environments. Frames feature a pre-galvanised finish for baseline corrosion protection, while beams, footplates, and accessories are manufactured from hot-dip galvanised (HDG) steel providing enhanced durability in high-moisture or coastal conditions.
Whether you’re storing materials out in a yard, under an awning, or in open-air conditions, APEX racking is engineered to withstand the challenges of outdoor exposure. To ensure a safe and compliant external installation specific to your requirements our team provides:
Comprehensive wind load calculations – By calculating wind loads based on your exact site conditions, we make sure your outdoor racking system stands strong protecting your investment and giving you peace of mind. Detailed concrete specifications
Seismic Safety Considerations – For outdoor racking installations, structural safety goes beyond just wind and weather. In compliance with AS 4084:2023, we include seismic hazard factors in all safe working load calculations. This ensures your racking system is designed to withstand ground movement, especially critical in regions with higher seismic risk.
