Selective Pallet racking is the most common and low-cost racking system used in warehouses today. Pallets are stored single deep for reduced density storage permitting forklift operators 100% unimpeded access to all stock at any time.
Selective Pallet Racking can be configured into single and back-to-back runs and designed to suit any requirement with the added benefit of easy adjustment, relocation, or extension.
Selective Pallet Racking is commonly used with counterbalanced forklifts and walkie stackers.
Offers first in, first out inventory management (FIFO)
A wide range of accessories are available with Selective Pallet Racking including mesh decks, boards with board supports, rack protection etc
There are many other variations such as; drive-in racking, double deep, cable racking, vertical racking and carpet racking, all of which are constructed with our APEX components.
Outdoor Applications
Are you looking at installing racking outdoors? We recommend always using hot-dipped galvanised (HDG) beams, footplates and floor anchors to prevent rust forming.
We can also provide you with full comprehensive wind loadings and detailed concrete specs required to safely install your racking externally.
Our APEX Pallet Racking fully complies with the latest Australian Standard AS 4084-2023 and has also been manufactured to meet the following standards:
FEM 10.2.02 European Code of Practice for the design of static steel pallet racks
AS1250-1981 SAA Steel structures code
AS1538-1988 SAA Cold-form steel structures code
SEMA-1980 (UK) Storage Equipment Manufacturers’ Association of Practice for the design and use of static pallet racking
RMI-1985 (USA) Rack manufacturers’ institute specification of the design, testing and utilisation of industrial steel racks
Australian Standard, including standards and codes that have since been revised or superseded.
APEX Frames
Benchmark APEX pallet racking is available in several frame grades (post sections) depending on the load capacity required. Each warehouse and application are different so please contact the friendly staff at Benchmark for guidance on which post section best suits your requirements.
All posts and frames are a pre-galvanised finished.

APEX Beams
Benchmark APEX powder coated orange box and open beams are designed to withstand a higher level of impact and retain their shape better than some other types of beam sections on the market. The below table highlights standard sizes available in which all have varying load capacities. Each warehouse and application are different so please contact the friendly staff at Benchmark for guidance on which pallet racking beams best suits your requirements.

For outdoor applications, Hot-dipped Galvanised Beams are always recommended.
Benchmark APEX hot-dipped galvanised beams are made from a rectangular hollow section [RHS] in typical pallet racking lengths. The hot-dipped galvanised surface treatment ensures longevity in your investment.
